In Memoriam

A short page remembering those we lost during this tragic conflict...

The newly-promoted Admiral Firmus Piett was sadly taken from us during the Battle of Endor, Perishing aboard the Executor shortly after his ascension to its command. The Admiral perished aboard the Super Star Destroyer's bridge during the battle when an A-Wing crash-landed into it, causing it to explode and taking the entire ship down with it. The Executor then plummeted to the surface of the second Death Star, resulting in its  total destruction and the deaths of everyone onboard.

Lorth Needa was the responsible captian of the Imperial Star Destroyer Avenger. The ship was a member of Lord Vader's personal fleet, Death Squadron, and proved to be a capable commanding officer. Following the Battle of Hoth, Needa and his craft pursued the Millenium Falcon but the ship evaded him after making a charge for the bridge. Captain Needa then took full responsibility for this severe lapse in judgement and was executed by Lord Vader shortly therafter.

Tiaan Jerjerrod was a talented architect and starship designer who used his gift to help the Empire enforce order across the galaxy. Following an impressive career, Jerjerrod was granted the political title of Moff and eventually unequivocal command over the DS-2 Death Star II Mobile Battle Station with the role of overseeing the final stages of the station's construction. Tragically, Jerjerrod would perish when the battle station was destroyed alongside his men.

Lieutenant Shann Childsen was a brave soldier of the Empire stationed aboard the Death Star during its destruction. However, what sets him apart is the fact that, unlike a great many of his comrades who perished when it exploded, Childsen died in the line of duty. When a group of rebel infiltrators disguised as Stormtroopers attempted to bluff their way further into the station, Childsen questioned them and prepared his men. The rebels then gunned him and his men down and he perished valiantly.

Despite being an architect, Colonel Petigar died far more valiantly than the average officer. During a mission to Aldhani to coordinate the construction of a new, more local airbase to replace the distant Alkenzi air base, thus allowing for more rapid aerial support to the local garrison. Petigar's meeting was cut short when the Aldhani dam was invaded by clandestine insurgent operatives who held the Commandant of the facility's son hostage. Petigar aimed at the individual holding the hostage, demanding they be let go, but was ruthlessly gunned down regardless.

Orson Callan Krennic, Director of the Imperial Military Department of Advanced Weapons Research, perished during the Battle of Scarif. During an inspection he was carrying out personally, the Imperial complex on Scarif came under siege by an organised insurgent effort. Despite deploying his personal guard to counter this force, as well as involving himself on the frontline, Krennic would be wounded and eventually perish at the top of the citadel tower. The Death Star's later eradication of the base would ensure Krennic's death.

General Valin Hess served the Galactic Empire well during his time in the Imperial Army. Even following the death of our beloved Emperor, he stayed true and proud, elegantly enacting the Emperor's will in the form of Operation: Cinder. During said operation, he valiantly sacrificed his own division to accomplish his goals. Later, serving at the Morak Imperial remnants, General Hess' life was ended prematurely by one of his own traitorous men who had rediscovered him.
